DURING THE EARLY SPACE  AGE
MID JULY 1958- COMING OUT OF THE SOUTHWEST SKY, THE SPUTNIK-3 ROCKET BODY IS SEEN
AS IT ADVANCES TO THE NORTHEAST.  THIS TIME LAPSE PHOTO WAS MADE FROM CHICAGO
AND THE STREAKS OF LIGHT ON THE FILM SHOW HOW THE SPENT ROCKET STAGE WAS
TUMBLING ALONG IN ORBIT.  IN REAL-TIME, IT WAS VISIBLE AS A PULSATING POINT OF LIGHT
