ABOVE - Hair is trimmed away from the Artery Loop before placement of the BP Clip. NOTE- Some sources refer to the exposed artery as a "Skin Flap" which obliviously fails to fit the description of the artery loop in the above picture. This leads me to believe that there was two types of surgical procedures for exposing the artery. The Skin Flap sounds like it might be shaped similar to an ear-like appendage, with the artery passing through the outer perimeter of that ear? In other words, the Skin Flap wasn't an open loop as shown above. Just guessing, do you know? Could "Skin Flap" be a poor translation from Russian? |
